After the great success in 2008, the junior race series will again feature eight events this coming year.
Built up in 2008 by BMW, this international championship competes during seven major F1 events. The Formula BMW provides racing for young talents with state of the art technology to compete against each other on a plain level field, where the best driver wins. The Winner of the World Final will get a test with the BMW Sauber F1 Team during the following season. Many promising drivers and todays top drivers made their way through Formula BMW such as: Ralf Schumacher, Nico Rosberg, Sebastien Buemi, Christian Klien, Timo Glock and Sebastian Vettel.
This championship is a unique occasion for the drivers and managers to be close to the F1 environment. BMW provides a dedicated hospitality, Formula 1 pit walk at specific time, tour of the F1 garage… everything is in place for you and your guests to be close to F1.
In 2009, DAMS finished sixth in the teams’ ratings and this season it will bet on two experienced drivers. With Javier Tarancon and Fahmi Ilyas it will combine experience and fieriness, so the French squad has high hopes for the coming season.
