Jean-Paul Driot and René Arnoux create DAMS to compete in Formula 3000. The team won 3 championship titles with Erik Comas (1990), Olivier Panis (1993) and Jean-Christophe Boullion (1994).

Design and manufacture of a Formula 1 car in partnership with Reynard Racing Cars. However the project ends after testing because of budget restrictions.

Partnership with Panoz Motorsports - 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA GT Championship (several podiums).

Partnership with Lola Cars - 24 Hours of Le Mans (qualified first private team at the 24 hours of Le Mans), FIA Sports Racing World Cup (5 pole positions, 4 wins) and ALMS (1 podium) with the Lola T98/10 Judd.

Semi official General Motors Cadillac Team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, FIA Sports Racing World Cup and ALMS. DAMS qualifies in front the official Cadillac team during the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2000).
Sebastien Bourdais finished 4th in the F3000 International Championship (last season for DAMS in F3000).

24 Hours of Le Mans for a major motion picture directed by Luc Besson, called "Michel Vaillant".

DAMS is without any contest the leader of the Eurocup FRV6, clinching the title with José-Maria Lopez (5 wins, 8 poles and 12 podiums).

The team finishes the Eurocup FRV6 on the rostrum at the 3rd place (4 victoires, 7 podiums et 8 pole positions).

FRV6 changes into World Series by Renault, Danielsson fights several times for points and gets one podium.
DAMS enters the new championship: GP2 Series. Lopez finished 2nd of the first race of the season and win the Barcelona round. The team finishes 7th on the final classification.

GP2 Series – team classification 11th with Perrera 16th (1 podium) & Ferdinando Monfardini.
A1GP World champion with France. French drivers Alexandre Prémat and Nicolas Lapierre dominate the inaugural A1GP title fight with a total of 13 wins out of 22 races, 3 pole positions, and 5 fastest laps.

GP2 Series – team classification 5th with Nakajima 5th (5 podiums in a row) and Lapierre 12th (2 victories). Nakajima, best GP2 rookie, is promoted in Formula 1.

Creation of the GP2 Asia Series. DAMS finishes the first at the 4th place scoring 2 victories and 5 podiums.
GP2 Main Series – team classification 8th with rookie drivers d’Ambrosio 11th and Kobayashi 16th.
DAMS also enters the new Formula BMW European Championship and finishes 8th scoring 3 podiums.

DAMS, 1st team to do the hat trick: 2009 GP2 Asia Team Champion, Kobayashi champion and D’Ambrosio vice champion.
GP2 Main Series : the team finishes 6th (equality of points with the 5th place) with its 2 drivers, Jérôme D’Ambrosio (9th, 3 podiums) et Kamui Kobayashi (17th, 1 podium).
Formula BMW – Dams finishes 4th – Jim Pla performs a superb end of season, finishing 5th (4 wins on the trot, 6 podiums, 1 pole position, 2best lap).
Dams enters the new european Formula Le MAns championship and dominates the season, claiming both team and driver titles and winning 8 of the 9 races.
DAMS is now engaged on the GP2 Series, Formula BMW and Formula Le Mans.

DAMS bagged again both titles in FLM, winning the driver’s championship with Andrea Barlesi, Gary Chalandon and Alessandro Cicognani.
DAMS continues the excellent A1GP path in the inaugural Auto GP season, dominating the championship from the start to the end, with a fantastic P1 - P2 - P3 at the drivers ranking... and the team title 3 races claimed before the end of the championship !
In its last season of Formula BMW, DAMS finishes at the 6th place of the team championship with Javier Tarancon 5th.
In GP2 Series, with Jérôme d’Ambrosio stunning victory in the legendary streets of Monaco, Dams finishes at the 6th places of the team championship.
Dams is currently engaged on the following championships : GP2 Series, Auto GP and World Series by Renault as Team support of Gravity-Charouz.

GP2 Series - DAMS finishes at the 2nd place and wins the driver championship with Romain Grosjean (6 victories, 12 podiums – 89 points)
Romain Grosjean is promoted in Formula 1 with Lotus F1 Team.
The team also won the Auto GP championship for the second time in a row and Sergei Afanasiev finished 3rd on the final classification.
DAMS took part to 3 ILMC races. 24 hours of Le Mans (where the team finished 6th) and Imola as technical support of OAK Racing ; and Petit Le Mans as technical support of United Autosports, finishing 2nd on the podium.
After his collaboration with EPIC during the 2011 World Series by Renault end of season tests, DAMS has been chosen by Renault Sport and will enter the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

After this season rich in sensations, DAMS proves once again its talent, reliability and experience in winning the team and driver titles in GP2 Series. Indeed, after a strong season, the Italian Davide Valsecchi has enabled his team to be on the top of rankings thanks to several podiums. Eventually his efforts are finally rewarded insofar as he can henceforth access to the best racing category ever which is Formula 1 as 3rd driver of Lotus Renault GP.
DAMS has also reiterate its presence in the World Series by Renault championship in engaging two FR3.5 driven by the French Arthur Pic and the young Brazilian Lucas Foresti. This season, where the competition was considerable, has been marked by the two poles during the first meeting and a strong victory from the French on a racetrack until now unknown from everybody: Moscow Raceway.
